HomeServicesCommunity Health Workshops

Community Health Workshops

RN-led group classes that turn health goals into doable daily actions—complete with practical tools and locally relevant resources.

What this service is

Interactive, plain-language workshops designed for community settings (libraries, senior centers, faith groups, schools, workplaces, housing communities). We blend short teaching segments with demos, practice, and Q&A, then send participants home with simple checklists and a resource list tailored to your area.

Scope: RN population health education—no diagnosis or prescribing.

Diabetes prevention

Risk factors, food/activity basics, label reading, goal setting, and tracking.

Blood-pressure basic

How BP works, home cuff technique, sodium/medication literacy, “when to call.”

Fall prevention

Home safety setup, footwear, strength/balance routines, meds/vision review prompts.

  •

Medication safety

Organizing meds, timing with meals/sleep, interactions, safe storage & disposal.

Format & logistics

  • Length: 45–90 minutes (single topic) or half-day bundles

  • Group size: 10–40 (larger groups supported with stations)

  3. Equip: participants receive take-home tools (checklists, trackers, “when to call” cues).

  4. Connect: curated list of nearby classes, clinics, hotlines, and low-cost services.
